Tis the Season

Once again, we're nearing the end of one year and approaching a new year. December is somewhat of a crazy time (in my opinion). Especially in New York. Oh don't get me wrong, the lights and decorations are beautiful to look at. I'm no Scrooge... (Anybody else feeling a but coming?) BUT the traffic, and the long lines EVERY WHERE YOU GO!! I have to psych myself just to do my normal grocery (yes GROCERY) shopping. And forget about if someone has the misfortune to have a birthday this month, you have to "fight" (I'm not into violence, but you get my drift) the Holiday shoppers. It's enough to make you scream. But then, in the cool of the evening. Just imagine having the good pleasure of little or no traffic. Not rushing to this place or that. Taking the time to notice all of the beautiful decorations on the buildings and houses. I love traveling with the kids at night (when their not arguing) looking at the lights on the houses. Their excitement and wonder of all the decorations is contagious. Briefly, I'm able to forget about "stuff", the hustle and bustle that we call life. I'm able to appreciate what I have; my family, my health, more often than not a sound mind. To be GRATEFUL for another year, and looking forward to a New Year of possibilities.
Happy Holidays, Be Safe and Enjoy TIME with Family and Friends.
