Have You Been Lately?

Have you noticed how easy it is to lose track of time?
I don't know if it is an age thing, a married thing, a mother thing, or just a "thang".

While I'm sure it has a lot to do with recent circumstances in my life, I'm on a "have you had a real checkup?" kick.

"What I don't know won't hurt me", or
"ignorance is bliss",
(my personal favorite)"I don't have the time".

If any of these are in your vocabulary, STOP IT!!! YOU ARE BEING SELFISH!

You owe it to yourself, your family, and friends to be the best YOU you can be. I know (believe me) it isn't easy but it's something that we have to do. If it's been 2-5 years since you've had a thorough checkup get going, make your appointment (and keep it!).
Ladies...don't forget your Mammograms.

I was told that if we get in 10,000 steps a day, it would be a huge boost towards a healthier lifestyle.
10,000 steps = 5 miles.
Think about it, 5 miles a day, just by taking the stairs instead of the elevator, or instead of looking for that prime parking spot (up close) park a bit further away, and get to counting.
Anybody up for a challenge? How about we consciously start working on being healthier?
If we don't take care of ourselves, how can we expect to have a LIFE of love? Sure it can be done, but wouldn't you prefer to have a quality life instead of just a life? What do you think?
Please schedule your checkup, and encourage your family and friends to do the same!!!!!!
Any suggestions on how to encourage our men to follow through on their checkups?

So maybe they should make mammograms less painful. That would definetly help. You go to the doctor to get a mammogram, feeling fine, and you leave with extreme breast pain. I AM NOT GOING BACK!!!

While I admit it isn't a walk in the park, but it isn't everyday that you have to get one. It's not like some other things that cause us pain that have no purpose, this is Pain with Purpose. So if you've done it for the year GREAT, if you haven't yet (and your at the age that you need to) DO IT, and just think you only have 365 more days til the next one :)

alright anonymous, just wanted to let you and the rest of...well anyone who visits ;) that I had my mammogram. I was able to catch up on some reading, and finally finish a 2006 Readers Digest.
The first portion was a breeze. "What's all the fuss"? The tech smiled, "we save the BEST for last". Oohhooooooo! But all in all the most painful part of my visit was the waiting (3 hours) on an empty stomach/full bladder ha ha ha ha. Get going!!!!
